NPP Cautions Bad Boys
Over Elections
SECURITY WILL be extremely tight during the upcoming Ashanti Regional Congress of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), a leading official of the party has announced.
The event, which would see the election of new regional executives to steer the affairs of the party for four years, is expected to take place at Ejura in the Ashanti region.
Party members, who have the fiendish motive of causing troubles to disrupt the important programme have been advised to change their minds.
The NPP National First Vice Chairman, Mr. Frederick Fredua Anto, who is in charge of the upcoming regional elections, gave the admonishment in Kumasi recently.
According to him, the party doesn’t want a single ugly incident to be recorded at the event venue so the party had decided to engage security personnel to provide adequate security.
Mr. Anto, who is a former Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, has therefore admonished the party members, especially the vibrant youth, to be law-abiding during the programme.
He described the upcoming elections as a family affair, and therefore did not expect any violent incident to dent the image of the party.
He sternly warned that any troublemaker who would try to foment trouble on that day would be arrested and dealt with according to the law.
