NPP Cautions Troublemakers Ahead of Party Primaries
THE RULING New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sternly warned its members against causing troubles during the party’s upcoming elections.
The party members have been urged to remain united and abide by the rules of the party’s elections so that the exercise would be an incident-free.
John Boadu, the Acting General Secretary of the NPP, sounded the warning to the party members during a mega party programme in Kumasi.
“I also want to use this opportunity to make a passionate appeal to all of us, especially the would-be candidates for the various positions in the primaries.
“Their supporters are also being urged to conduct the exercise with the necessary candour so that we would have incident-free primaries for the love of the party.
“Let it be said that the NPP came out of the 2018 primaries as a much stronger party”, the acting NPP General Secretary, stated.
He added “Let it be said if any party has the wherewithal to do it, then it is the NPP and none other”, noting that the party needs total peace.
According to him, the NPP would start its internal elections from the polling station, constituency, regional and national levels, from January to June, 2018.
He therefore entreated every member of the party to patronize the big party exercise so as to make the polls memorable.
John Boadu gave the delivery during the NPP Extraordinary National Delegates Conference at the Heroes Park in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
He also tasked the party members to rally solidly behind the President Akufo-Addo’s administration so that it would fulfill its campaign promises.
“Let us remain unwaveringly united and committed to the call of our party and government at all times so that we can continue to deliver on our promises”.
John Boadu was confident that a united NPP would lead to massive transformation of the country, which would bring prosperity to the people.
