NPP fights Mosquito At Asokwa

ALL BREEDING areas for Mosquitoes in Kaase in the Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region have virtually been cleared by members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency.

The Asokwa First Vice Chairman of the party, Mr. Edmund Kyei, led the cleanup exercise, early on Sunday morning.

For about five hours, the NPP members were seen entering drains and gutters around the Kaase Market area to clear garbage that had got stuck in them. They also cleared weeds by the roadsides.

Addressing the media after the exercise, Kyei said it is the core duty of every citizen to ensure that their surroundings are always clean, and therefore, called on residents to take good care of their surroundings.

Switching to politics, he entreated his party members to start campaigning vigorously for President Nana Akufo-Addo, ahead of the 2020 polls.

He said the NPP needed to retain political power in 2020 and continue with its good works, but that could only be achieved if members campaigned hard.
