TENSION IS reported to be at the boiling point in the Germany Branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), following a decision by one Walker Annor Poku, a top party member, to open a Chapter in Düsseldorf.
Annor Poku was said to have started processes to open the new chapter, specifically at Moham in Düsseldorf, without informing party leaders, causing the displeasure of the NPP Germany Chairman, Rev. Alex Acheampong and his executives.
According to reports, despite resistance from the party leadership, Poku went ahead to carry out intension.
The development, according to credible sources from Germany, is creating cracks in the ruling party in the diaspora.

But reacting on the same network, Rev. Alex Acheampong said even though he wished the party had more chapters in Germany members should not breach the party’s rules in the process.
“I came to meet 10 NPP Chapters in Germany and I have worked tirelessly to increase it to 18 Chapters as I speak with you now.
“I am not against the opening of a new NPP chapter at Moham, Düsseldorf, but party structures must be followed”, he concluded.
