Actor Prince David Osei says it is insensitive for the Akufo-Addo administration to be focus on establishing the National Cathedral amidst the current economic challenges.
The actor voicing out his displeasure comes after a letter, signed by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, to the Controller and Accountant’s General, directed that GH¢25 million be credited to Ribade, for part payment of outstanding claims.
“Authority is hereby granted to you to release the sum [of] GH¢25,000,000.00 as additional seed money to the National Cathedral Secretariat for the construction of the National Cathedral for part payment of outstanding claims from RIBADE Limited,” the letter revealed.
To the New Patriotic Party (NPP) foot soldier, Government has lost its priorities; a situation he deems as worrying adding that, only God can help Ghana in these times.
“Misplaced priorities, self-glory, greed and insensitivity towards the plight of the citizenry. We can’t pay government workers, staffs, working tirelessly 24/7 yet we have 25,000,000 for a cathedral in this perilous time of our economy. So help us God! I am sorry,” he said in a tweet.
