Works and Housing Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has said Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chair of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is on a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the key message contained in recently launched Manifesto of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by describing same as a “concert activity”.
The Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency lawmaker clapped back at Aseidu Nketiah over his “concert activity” description, indicating it was distasteful but not surprising considering the notoriety he has gained in making such comments.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia fondly called ‘General Mosquito’ described the NPP manifesto launch as a “concert activity” during an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay FM.
However, during an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, Kojo Nkrumah in a clap back stated that he is least surprise at the comment of Asiedu Nketia because he is not expecting him to praise the NPP especially as an executive of an opposition party.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah debunked claims by the NDC chairman that their manifesto launch was a way to cause destruction to the voters’ exhibition taking place.
He added that most of the comments made by Asiedu Nketiah are all political talks hence the NPP will not give him the attention he is craving for.
According to him, Ghanaians who followed the manifesto launch and those who were on ground can testify that everything said by Dr. Bawumia was for the betterment of the country.
He accused Asiedu Nketiah of rather trying to divert the attention of Ghanaians from the message delivered at the events ground with his comments hence should not be given the platform to divert the minds of people.
“Dr. Bawumia promised Ghanaians a lot including reducing power tariffs through the introduction of solar panels. Aseidu Nketia is trying to divert the minds of people from the real message and also trying to divert the minds of people to question John Mahama about his own plans and policies for the people of Ghana if voted into power.
“He knows his flag-bearer has no ideas, no solutions to solve the problems of Ghanaians, hence his strategy to divert the minds of people from the good message of Dr. Bawumia”, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted.
