The New Patriotic Party has described the demise of Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency as shock and unfortunate.
In a statement signed by John Boadu, the Party directs that all party flags at the national headquarters and in the respective regions and constituencies be flown at half-mast for the next seven days.
According to the party, the seven days activity is in accordance to show humility, dedication and selflessness, Mr Kyeremeteng exhibit to the admiration of all.
The brother of the now-dismissed Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, died at a hospital in the United States of America on Wednesday, 21 November 2018 after a long battle with illness.
The former Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) now FDA, was born on 10 December 1957 at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region.
He was also the Chairperson of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee of Parliament and once served on the Government’s Assurance and Health Committees.

NPP MOURNS HON. EMMANUEL KYEREMATENG AGYARKO
The NPP has received with profound shock and disbelief news of the passing of Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, which sad event occurred on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko was undoubtedly one of the experienced legislators on the ticket of the party, who, until his demise, was the Chairman of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee of Parliament.
The party accordingly, extends its heartfelt condolence to his immediate family particularly his lovely wife and children for such incalculable loss. The NPP equally commiserates with close associates of the late MP, the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana and the rest of the nation for losing such a great asset by all standards. The party stands with the bereaved family and would provide them the needed support in these difficult times.
The former CEO of the Food and Drugs Board under the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Hon. Agyarko, had, without doubt, paid his dues to the NPP having also served as a member of the party’s National Communications Team representing the party on TV and radio programmes as regular panellist. He served this party with humility, dedication and selflessness to the admiration of all.
In honour of his memory, the NPP directs that all party flags at the national headquarters and in the respective regions and constituencies be flown at half-mast for the next seven days.
May the soul of our dearly departed find comfort in God’s bosom and may the family he left behind and indeed all of us in the party and beyond find fortitude to bear this great loss.
