NPP Secretary Storms Court
…Over ‘Dirty Slap’
THE ASHANTI Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne, is brimming with rage and has vowed to head to the courts over a ‘dirty slap’.
He was, reportedly, slapped from behind by an unknown person during the party’s Constituency elections at Oforikrom in Kumasi last Saturday.
Sam Pyne subsequently accused one Baba, said to be the party’s organizer in the constituency, of knowing the person that infamously attacked him physically in public.
According to him, he had already reported the case to the police, hoping that at the appropriate time Baba would be invited to expose the person who slapped him.
“The lights at the venue of the polls was put off and after that someone hit me from behind and the police and Delta Force rescued me to the police station.
“Baba, the party’s organizer at Oforikrom, knows the person that hit me from behind and at the appropriate time he will be invited to assist in investigations.
“I swear, I will not treat this case as party matter. I will make sure that all those who physically attacked me would be arrested and made to face the law.
“I believe party activities should be guided by civility and Rule of Law and I will make sure that all those who attacked me would suffer for their actions”, he vowed.
Sam Pyne, who was narrating his ordeal on Nhyira Fm, said his attackers wrongly accused him of rigging the chairmanship polls in favour of one Abraham Antwi, an allegation he strongly denied.
