NPP Women Organizer Supports the Needy
THE ASHANTI Regional Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Ampomah, has set up a Foundation to support the poor and vulnerable in society.
The official launching ceremony, which was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, was attended by top government officials and the general public.
The foundation, dubbed the ‘Ampomah Foundation’, would among other things, be used by Nana Ampomah to enhance the lives of the vulnerable, some of whom are widows.
She promised to use her connections in Ghana and across the globe to solicit for support to help the needy in all ten regions in the country.
Speaking at the launch of the foundation, the NPP Women Organizer said she took her inspiration for the project from the Holy Bible.
She therefore appealed passionately to the public, especially the well-resourced, to contribute their quota towards the cause.
In a speech read on his behalf, former President John Agyekum Kufuor urged affluent people in society to share their wealth with the needy, and lauded Nana Ama Ampomah for taking this bold decision.
