NSMQ2018: Police officer Protect Dr Elsie Effah handbag

Quiz mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz, Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann lost her handbag same time last year during jubilation time when winner was declared, to prevent same unfortunate encounter from happening, a security personnel was deployed to protect her this year.

Security was very high at this year’s edition.
Shortly after the end of the quiz and before the final scores were announced, uniformed Police officers were dispatched to vantage points in the aisles and close to the stairs leading to the stage.

A police officer also took hold of Dr Elsie Kauffman’s paper bag which she used this year after her bag was stolen during the celebrations of last year’s final.

Dr Kaufmann’s handbag got missing after Prempeh College beat St Thomas Aquinas and Adisadel College to emerge winner of the 2017 contest..

As to whether, the security officer was employed purposefully for the protection of the handbag of the quiz mistress, we can’t tell but it appears so clear how careful Dr Kauffman was this year as she handed her goodies she received just after presentation to a personnel to be sent back the stage.
