‘Nyantakyi Mustn’t Seek Re-Election’
President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi, should stand by his decision not to seek re-election next year, Law lecturer and former President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Moses Foh-Amoaning, has said.
According to him, Mr Nyantakyi has told the entire world on three occasions that he will not seek re-election, therefore, he must stick to that decision.
Mr Foh-Amoaning’s comments come on the heels of the dismissal of the Vice-President of the GFA, George Afriyie.
He was removed from office following an Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday, 24 April 2018.
There are suspicions that he was sacked following his declaration to contest in the upcoming elections at the GFA. He is also alleged to have questioned how some moneys have been spent at the GFA without following due process.
Speaking on this development on Good Evening Ghana, Mr Foh-Amoning said: I don’t think Kwasi Nyantakyi should seek re-election because he has told the public three times that he won’t seek reelection.”
The elections are slated for next year 2019.
