Nyantakyi Never Paid Me for Black Star Songs – Grace Ashley
Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Grace Ashley has expressed delight by the indictment of former boss Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi.
According to her she was never paid for any of her campaign song for the Ghana Black Stars.
Speaking to Rainbow radio in Accra, she noted that she got tired of chasing for payment and finally gave up.
According to her, the only form of payment she ever got from the former boss of GFA were commendations for efforts she put in the songs.
‘’I was not scared about the Anas exposé because since 2006 till now, Kwesi Nyantakyi never paid me a coin for any of the songs I produced for the national team. I am daring the former GFA boss to deny or confirm my claims. The GFA did not pay me a penny. I always gave him my songs, he will play the songs but he will not pay me. He will only commend my efforts but never gave me a pesewa,’’ Grace Ashley said.
Grace Ashley who was a major sensation in Ghana’s gospel scene some years ago said she composed songs to support the Ghana Black Star out of love for the team and patriotism.
She has dared Kwesi Nyantakyi, to come out to attest to any form of payment of songs she produced for the national team.
