Odeneho ready for NPP victory in Kumasi

ODENEHO Kwaku Appiah, the bookmakers favourite to win the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairmanship position, says he is the right person to lead the party to victory in its stronghold.

According to him, the party needs total unity and oneness in the Ashanti Region in order to realize their ambition of breaking the 8 years power cycle and retain in political office during the upcoming 2024 presidential polls.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, the NPP Afigya Kwabre South constituency chairman affectionately tagged as the ‘Chairman of Chairmen’, has therefore appealed to the NPP delegates, whom he described as the kingmakers in the NPP, to vote massively for him.

“We need total unity, peace and oneness so as to make it possible for the NPP to retain political power and continue with our splendid works so that Ghanaians would continue to benefit from our positive programmes.

“I am ready to work with you to unite the party and bring every party member and supporter onboard in order to defeat our political opponents for the third three consecutive time in 2024”, Odeneho indicated.

The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman hopeful, who was speaking on Hello FM in Kumasi, said when elected into office, he would put in place mechanism that would make it possible for every NPP member to work for the party.

“One man show, discrimination and open bias and all other factors that will create deep cracks in the NPP will be a thing of the past. Peace, unity and hard work will take center stage in our political party”, he assured.

According to him, the era whereby one man hijacked the NPP as if he was a thin god would not be allowed in the NPP anymore, saying “I cannot do it alone, so I will bring everybody onboard to move the NPP forward”.

Odeneho, who has been with the NPP since the party’s formative years, also said one person cannot singularly finance the party, recounting that the NPP has over the years been financed by its loyal members.

“From the days of former President John Agyekum Kufuor and President Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP has relied on the support of the market women, car mechanics and people from all walks of life to survive as a party.

“Nobody can use his own resources or money to finance a big and great political party like the NPP in the Ashanti Region or anywhere in the country so let all of us contribute our quota to help the NPP”.

Odeneho, who spoke at length about pressing issues in the NPP, also admonished the NPP members, supporters and sympathizers to dedicate themselves and offer their best to help take the NPP to the Promised Land.

Recently, award winning high life musician Lucky Mensa, endorsed and voluntarily released a campaign song as his show of support for Odeneho’s quest to be Regional Chair.

“Chairman Odeneho kwaku Appiah (COKA) , it is your time to lead NPP in the Ashanti region. The party needs your humble and strategic leadership to help break the 8 in 2024. The region is behind you”.

In a piece of trending music in circulation on social media, the musician is heard praising Odeneho Kwaku Appiah and urging the party delegates to vote for Odeneho when they go to polls to elect regional executives to lead the region for the next four years.

Odeneho, who has been constituency chairman for many years and heads the Ashanti region association of constituency chairmen is tipped to unseat the famous chairman Wontumi in the Ashanti region.
