AKWASI ADDAI aka ‘Odike’ is said to be afraid to come face-to-face with the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC), after his alleged bad comments about Asante chiefs.
Nana Asenso Kufuor, the Chief of Adwumakaase Kesse, where Odike hails from, told the KTC that Odike has made it clear to him that he was scared to face Nananom.
According to him, Odike, the Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has asked him to inform the KTC that he would appear before them in two weeks time.
“Nananom, Odike has informed me that he is scared to appear before the KTC so we should give him two weeks time to recover from his alleged sickness and meet us.
“The truth of the matter is that Odike said he was afraid to face me in my palace at Adwumakaase Kesse. Even if he is afraid to face me, he would be afraid to face the KTC”.
Odike has been in the news for negative reasons of late, following reports that he has insulted the Asante chiefs, whom he accused of indulging in illegal mining
Oyerepa FM, a Kumasi-based radio station where Odike passed those derogatory remarks, has been banned from operating until further notice by the Asante Chiefs.
Odike was supposed to be at the palace together with the Oyerepa FM management team so he could also be dealt with over his alleged derogatory remarks but he failed to appear before the KTC.
Meanwhile, reports making rounds indicated that Odike has been summoned to appear before the KTC at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi today (Monday).
But intelligence being picked by THE NEW PUBLISHER indicated that Odike would surely be missing in action at the KTC meeting at the Manhyia Palace today.
