THE ELECTORATE has been urged not to vote for the two largest political parties in the country, but consider a new alternative in the 2020 general elections.
Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike’, the leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), who made the passionate call, vowed to break the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Natoional Democratic Congress (NDC) duopoly, as the two had taken Ghanaians for a ride for a long time.
“The NDC and NPP governments have not done anything meaningful to improve the lives of the electorate.
“This is because the NDC and NPP know that you don’t have any alternative besides the two of them”, he said, adding that the UPP has the potential to break the jinx.
“I am leading the UPP to cause sensation in Ghanaian elections as I will emerge as the winner of the next polls.
“I will introduce policies and programmes that will help accelerate the development of Ghana”, he assured, and hinted that he had already started campaigning towards his agenda to win the next elections.
