AKWASI ADDAI, Founder of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has descended heavily on President Nana Akufo-Addo yet again.
The UPP founder, popularly known as Odike accused the President for stagnating the development of the country since taking office.
“We have not experienced any meaningful transformation in the country ever since President Nana Akufo-Addo was voted into political office”, Odike said in a radio conversation with a Kumasi-based radio station.
Odike supported the then main opposition political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to defeat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2016 polls.
But after assuming political power, Odike has suddenly made a sharp u-turn as he has consistently descended heavily on the NPP government in public.
Odike in interview on radio said total hardship had become the order of the day ever since the NPP administration took over power, saying, “the country is on its knees now:.
“Instead of going forward, Ghana is now going backwards and at a top speed all because the President is failing to deliver despite his juicy promises ahead of the 2016 polls”.
Odike also chastised President Nana Akufo-Addo for failing to deliver in the fight against corruption, pointing out that corruption cases in the public sector is increasing.
“President Nana Akufo-Addo we don’t feel you when it comes to fighting corruption”, he said “you gave assurance to fight corruption but you have failed to deliver so far”.
