Odike Ministers To Meet In Mortuary

CONTROVERSIAL POLITICIAN, Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike’, has caused another stir, saying that he will periodically drag cabinet ministers under his government to the morgue for them to see dead bodies as a way of fighting corruption, when elected as president.

According to him, all the state resources that ‘greedy’ politicians are amassing at the detriment of the ordinary Ghanaian is vanity, which they (politicians) would not take along once they die, so the need for politicians to be reminded about that fact.

“If I am elected as the President of Ghana on the ticket of the United Progressive Party (UPP), which will surely happen on December 7, this year, I will have a nice way of eradicating corruption from my government in order to protect the national purse and create wealth.

“At least, once every month, the appointees in my government, especially the ministers, would be taken to the morgue for them to see dead bodies and this will give them a good education that whatever they steal would be left behind when they die”, he said on Nhyira FM

According to the UPP leader, people usually do not visit the mortuary to see how human beings leave behind all the material processions that they fought others to acquire whilst they were alive.
He said one of the many reasons corruption was still on the ascendancy in government was because people forget they would one day leave behind all their material wealth.

“My brother I bet you, the best way to teach politicians that there is no need for them to steal state resources from left, right and center, is to haul them to the morgue to see the hopeless nature of man. They would know that being corrupt is worthless”, he stated.

Odike, who would be gunning for the presidential throne once again on the ticket of the UPP on December 7, lamented that corruption in public service and in government was the major cause of the abject poverty and other problems in the country.

According to the controversial politician, who is noted for being frank in his public deliveries, it was high time that the entire country decided to take a radical approach to stop the corruption canker “and as President, I will take that bold action by sending my ministers to the morgue”.
