It is becoming evident that Grace Acheampong, aka ‘Ogre’, the Ayawaso West Wougon Constituency Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is the next Greater Accra Regional Women Organiser for the party.
Her campaign to take over from the current Regional Women Organizer, Joyce Zampare has yielded some positive results and she has become a favourite among the party’s delegates for the polls.
The Greater Accra regional delegates conference would come off in some three weeks from now and Grace Acheampong would be contesting the position with some four persons: Humu Dilley, Vida Owusu, Naa Torshie Tonto and Rosemond Danquah.
Madam Grace Achemapong told Okay FM in an interview Tuesday that she will carry out a four-point agenda if elected at the April 21 conference.
The party according to “Ogre” needs a strong women organizer in the region to consolidate the gains made in the 2016 general election.
Ogre said if elected she will empower all constituency women organizers to understand politics and its benefits.
She also pointed out that she will help empower women to become economically independent by supporting them to secure flexible loans for their businesses.
Ogre said she will also help women in the region to understand government policies and be able to spread it to the electoral area coordinators and the polling station executives in order for the grassroot people to understand.
Madam Grace Acheampong also said she will be organizing training programs that will help women combine politics and family.
