Okyenhene in Car Crash
The Okyenhene, Osaagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II Sunday afternoon narrowly escaped death when his car crashed at Ankaase, a village near Osino on the Accra-Kumasi main Highway in the Eastern Region.
The Okyenhene’s vehicle veered off the road into the bush to avoid colliding with an oncoming truck.
Luckily, the Okyenhene’s vehicle had passed before the truck veered into their lane.
The Okyenhene was returning from a national golf awards dinner ceremony at the Manhyia Palace yesterday afternoon.
He had early on met with the President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Saturday.
The cause of the accident is not yet known but sources claim the driver of the truck has been arrested by the Okyenhene’s security.
However, all occupants of the car reportedly escaped unhurt.
