The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has noted only 3000 Ghanaians out of the over thirty million population can change the country if they decide to do so.
According to him, Ghana needs only few sizable number of the Population to be upright to change the fortunes of the country.
“We have big population but we are not developed. In actual fact, we don’t need too many people to make a difference in Ghana. We know that in any human population if you have 0.0001% of the people who will think and work honestly to the entire population that country will make a headway. Projected in Ghana, it means that if we have about 3000 Ghanaians who will wake up every morning to say that God thank you for given me life what can I do today to make Ghana a better Place and they do that without service considerations, this country will change”.
He added “let me start from where I am, how many Ministers go to work and say God thank you let me do whatever I want to do without any service considerations. Every person must have a red line in his life to purpose that with God’s help I will not just do this” .
Prof . Frimpong Boateng also a Physician and Cardiothoracic Surgeon, also bemoaned Ghana which is ranked 47th most populous country in the World has dropped from 148 out of 181 Countries in the human development index that takes into account-education, life expectancy and income.
