A 13-year-old orphan, Master Prince Antwi of the Otoase L/A Primary School has appealed to Mr Samuel Ayeh Paye, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano to assist him to undergo a medical treatment of his broken leg.
He also called on philanthropic organisations to also come to his aid. Master Antwi made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Otoase in the Eastern Region.
He said he has been depending on the sales of coconut to manage his life, but unfortunately on one occasion, he fell from a coconut tree at Avaga, a suburb of Nsawam-Adoagyiri and had his leg broken.
Master Antwi said at the time of his predicament, a good Samaritan came to his aid and sent him to the Nsawam Government Hospital for treatment and was referred to Koforidua but due to poverty, some five months had gone by and was still at home.
According to him, the child needs the support to gain fitness back again to normality else it will be a disaster to the betterment of the young child. This he says will help in putting much smiles and assurance of good future on the face of the young girl.
He pleaded with the MP, philanthropists, non-governmental organisations and institutions to help him in his medical treatment to enable him to continue with his schooling.
