Osei Kofi Warns Kotoko Over Africa Adventure

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko legend, Rev. Osei Kofi, has sternly warned the club not to go into this year’s continental competition unprepared.

He opined that it is the best clubs on the Africa continent that usually compete for honours in the Africa Confederations Cup, and cautioned that there will not be any room for unprepared clubs.

He therefore admonished the management of the Kumasi-based club to adequately prepare the team, if they intend to make any mark in the competition.

According to the soccer legend, the Africa Confederations Cup competition is not about big names but rather potent teams; and consequently, entreated the porcupine warriors to make sure that their team is in the best shape so they don’t become mere pushovers.

“Kotoko should be aware that the Africa Confederations Cup will be contested for by the best on the Africa continent this season.

“You can only make an impact when your club possess quality players who are determined and prepared to win laurels”, he stressed, adding that Kotoko would laugh at the wrong side of their mouths if they rely on the club’s enviable historical track record.
