Otumfuo Gives Food To Journalists

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has offered a helping hand to journalists working within the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.

The items presented included bags of rice, tubers of yam, boxes of bottled water, cooking oil and many more.

The presentation exercise was done at the Manhyia Palace, the official seat of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Journalists are among the exempted group in the partial lockdown order, occasioned by the COVID-19.

Otumfuo made the presentation to help lessen the burden on journalists, following the partial lockdown.

Kingsley Hope, the Ashanti Regional GJA Chairman, who received the items, thanked the Asantehene.

He stated that the Asante King’s donation would help journalists to survive the partial lockdown.
