The Head Pastor of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has apologised to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu for his 31st night ‘death’ prophecy.
Rev Owusu Bempah visited the residence of the Chief Imam in Accra today Thursday, 10 January 2019 in the company of a delegation and presented the Muslim cleric with a fat cow as a placatory token.
Also in a show of remorse, Prophet Owusu Bempah apologized about the prophecy and ask for the peaceful co-existence of the Christian and Muslim communities in Ghana.
In a brief speech, Owusu Bempah told his hosts, including Alhaji Gado Mohammed, Chairman of the Chief Imam’s Advisory Board and the renowned Dr. Amin Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of Amen Scientific Herbal hospital, that he had come to express gratitude to the peace-loving and fatherly Chief Imam for his timely intervention in the euphoria that followed his prophecy.
He further urged Ghana Police Service to drop all the charges that have been levelled against the youth who attacked and vandalized his Odorkor Church properties and that he will take charge of all damages.
Prophecies of death
The preacher came under fire after he predicted that some prominent personalities including the Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia and former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and John Mahama might die in 2019.
A day after his pronouncements, some youth suspected to be Muslims were captured in a Facebook Live video defacing some billboards and posters of the Odorkor branch of his church.
