Ghana’s Parliament is celebrating 25 years of uninterrupted parliamentary democracy with a symposium today, Monday, 5 March 2018.
The President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who is also the special guest of honour for the occasion, will deliver the keynote address on the topic: “The Future of Good Governance in Africa”.
This will be preceded by a discussion on the Fourth Republican Parliament in Retrospect.
Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to grace the event, which will see several dignitaries in attendance.
Other activities to mark the silver jubilee will include a media encounter with the leadership of the House, a fitness walk and a public forum among other activities.
