Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence that Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey will still call the Emirates home when the 2023/2024 EPL season kicks off.
Partey has endured a speculation riddled offseason with reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia as well as Juventus in the Italian Serie A.
The speculations heightened when he did not travel with the main Arsenal team to the United States for their pre-season tour.
He later joined the team in the USA but was not part of the matchday squad when Arsenal took on the MLS All Stars on the Thursday 20th July 2023.
However, when asked by pressmen about the future of the Ghanaian anchorman Arteta seemed convinced about Partey’s essence to the team even in the wake of the arrival of marquee signing Declan Rice.
“Without a question of doubt. Thomas is a super important player for us and for me. I want him to be part of the team.Thats for sure,” he stated.
Arsenal play Premier League rivals Manchester United next in their preseason tour of the United States on 22nd August,2023.
