The Ada-West District Police Command has identified the 35-year-old man who was shot dead about a month ago at Koluedor.
The district police commander, ASP George Aboagye, identified the victim as Pastor Prosper Sappor, a native of Alavanyor in the Ada-East district.
While relatives say he is a pastor, local police say is has past criminal records. According to the police commander, relatives of the deceased disclosed that Prosper lived at Ashaiman, but visited the Alavanyo for a funeral on the day of his death. But Commander Aboagye said their checks at the Ada- East police command indicated that, even though he could be a pastor, Prosper also had a criminal record at the Ada-Foah police station.
It is however un-clear the reasons behind his killing and the perpetrators behind the unlawful act. ASP Aboagye told the PUBLISHER that the body of the deceased is still at the police hospital morgue in Accra awaiting postmortem, after which the family would be handed the body for burial.
The body of Prosper, it would be recalled, was found a month ago at Koluedor, near Sege, in the Greater Accra Region, after what was believed to be multiple gunshot wounds was inflicted on him.
This followed a report received by the police from the Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, Hon. Moses Narh Lomotey, about a man found lying lifeless in the area.
A second murder case, around the same time is still under investigation by the Ada West police, the first being the shooting dead of a business woman at an all-night service at Kasseh- Ada.
