Although the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33 that “God is not the author of confusion”, two popular pastors, known to be prophets, are contradicting themselves on what each of them claims God told him about President Nana Akufo-Addo’s chances at the 2020 presidential elections.
It is not clear whether God lied to one of them or one of them is telling a lie; but while Founder and General Overseer of the Life Assembly Worship Centre, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as ‘Osofo Kyiri Abosom’ claims God has told him Nana Addo would not and cannot with the 2020 polls, Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah says the same God has confirmed to him Nana Addo shall win the 2020 polls.
Listening to the two, there there appears to be confusion over whether or not the President Nana Akufo-Addo this time around has the blessing of God to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into election 2020.
What is even more confusion is the seeming division among the rank of some pastors and prophets in the Lords ‘vineyard’ in view of conflicting prophecies and pronouncements over the matter.
Some senior government and party officials have indicated that the President will seek re-election for another term in office to continue with the implementation of his vision to develop Ghana to an appreciable level.
It’s Nana
Rev. Owusu Bempah said God revealed to him that apart from the NPP no party would rise in the country in the ensuing years.
“Even though nothing can stop the NPP from retaining political power in 2020, it would be easier for the ruling political party if the NDC retains Mr. Mahama as their presidential candidate for the polls,’ he emphasized.
“I can confirm to you that NPP will win the 2020 elections. But they have to pray hard because the battle is the Lords,’ he stated on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7.
Added: “God has revealed to me that nothing will stop the NPP from winning the elections because the President is working hard, the President is doing well especially with the Free SHS, One-District-One-Factory and others.”
The clergyman was among some Ghanaian pastors who prophesied the victory of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general elections.
No Way
Interestingly, Founder and General Overseer of the Life Assembly Worship Centre, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom holds a different view.
He said President Akufo-Addo will not contest the upcoming 2020 general election stressing that the President will do himself a lot of good if he leaves office at the end of the year 2020.
He said he has a revelation that President Akufo-Addo will be terribly defeated if he goes ahead and contests the election which promises to be keenly contested between the ruling New Patriotic Party and the largest opposition National Democratic Congress.
The man of God in another curious twist noted that “President Nana Akufo-Addo will not contest 2020 election, he’s going to hand over to the youth of this country to govern. He should announce to Ghanaians that he’s tired and wants to take a rest, if he goes ahead to contest the election he will lose terribly.”
“If he takes a bow out of power his name will be recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as one of the very few African leaders to have exited power voluntarily just after one term in office. If President Akufo-Addo listens to me and exits office it will be to his own good. I’ll go to him personally to inform him not to contest the upcoming election that this is what God has revealed to me about him. If he obeys, it will be good for him,” he said.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo will join the late South African President Nelson Mandela as one of the very few African Presidents in history to have bowed out of office voluntarily after just one term in power.
