Ghanaian musician, Patience Nyarko has said anyone who says the country isn’t in difficult times would be telling lies.
“Right now anyone that can open their mouth to say that things aren’t difficult in this country will be telling lies,” she said on Property FM in an interview.
However, the ‘Eboboba’ crooner, said that if gospel music wasn’t in Ghana, things would’ve been worse than the current hardships.
“If gospel music wasn’t in this country like things would have been worse than what we’re witnessing currently,” she said during an interview with Amansan Krakye.
She added, “We are all here in Ghana but we know what’s happening in other countries but God has shown mercy on us.
“If not for nothing we are not killing ourselves and gospel music is doing a lot for people especially the current hardships that we find ourselves. But God through gospel music has calmed the heart of His children and consoles us each and every day.”
Wrong Perception
She further stated that, it is erroneous for people to think that gospel music is not impacting in the lives of Ghanaians adding that, people would be shocked if God should open their eyes to see what gospel music is doing in this country.
She stated “It’s never true that despite the numerous gospel songs we produce it doesn’t affect the lives of Ghanaians in a positive way
“So if you say that we continue to do gospel music but people are still in their sinful ways and it’s not impacting in their lives, I’ll say it’s never true. What God is using gospel music to do in this country if He should open your eyes to see you’ll be shocked totally,” she justified on the show.
