Paul Pogba Drops Manchester United Exit Plan
Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is likely to drop his plan to leave Old Trafford following discussions with manager, Jose Mourinho.
According to reports, Pogba has held clear-the-air talks with Mourinho and has agreed not to push for a January exit.
Pogba has grown increasingly unhappy at United following his blockbuster €100m transfer from Juventus in 2016. His deteriorating relationship with Mourinho has been widely reported by the media.
Since the reports, Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for Pogba and star players like Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez have even talked up a move to Camp Nou in the last week.
Mourinho has continued to deny any problems with Pogba but their relationship is tense and the latter’s agent, Mino Raioa, is desperate to get a move for his client.
Barcelona are expected to reignite their interest in the 2018 World Cup winner in January but Pogba has agreed not to push for a move at the start of next year.
However, there are no guarantees Pogba will stay at United beyond the end of this season, with the 25-year-old also keen on the idea of returning to Juventus and playing with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pogba has scored two penalties in United’s first four league games this season but missed from the spot in their comfortable 2 – 0 win away to Burnley last weekend.
