Paul Pogba may not be joining Barcelona after Jose Mourinho slammed the door shut on his Nou Camp dream.
The Frenchman is reportedly desperate to leave Old Trafford – but that has cut no ice with Manchester United boss.
Sources in Spain have revealed that United have blocked the move with just two days of the transfer window remaining.
Pogba has said to have already agreed a £350,000-a-week deal – but United have told Barcelona he is ‘non transferable’ reporting Spanish sources.
Barcelona now consider the move for Pogba ‘dead in the water’ according to Sport – even though super agent Mino Raiola was still trying to convince United to let him move.
Pogba has also reportedly sent a text message to United chief Ed Woodward illustrating his desire to leave, although this is something the club deny.
He wanted to link up with close friend Arturo Vidal who has just joined Barca.
However Mourinho will not entertain the possibility of him leaving – especially so close to the end of the transfer window.
United are said to have already turned down a £45m plus players deal for Pogba – which would have seen Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina move to Old Trafford.
Pogba was careful not to go to war with United according to Marca , who claim Barcelona didn’t have the financial muscle to pull off a move which would cost them around £200million – including wages over £360,000 per week after tax.
