The last batch of athletes and officials from the Commonwealth Games touched down in the country on Friday.
The contingent included Chef de Mission for the games, Sahnoon Mohammed, who was ordered to return to the country by President Akufo-Addo, to aid investigations in the visa scandal that rocked the country’s participation in the games.
19 year old sprinter Hor Halutie, was undoubtedly Ghana’s stand out performer at the games, finishing 8th in the Women’s 100m final.
It was however a largely disappointing Games for Team Ghana, winning just one medal, courtesy Jessie Lartey’s bronze in the Men’s 64kg Boxing event.
