The masterclass organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, in collaboration with the Creative Arts Council, Beyond the Return Secretariat and the Bridge Zone Africa saw a huge success last Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
Some of the top Ghanaian celebrities who were present were Bessa Simons, Majid Michel, Pauline Oduro, Kuami Eugene, Keche, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Dada KD, Martha Ankomah, Salinko, Gloria Sarfo, , Roselyn Ngissah, Bill Asamoah and Pascaline Edwards.
Others were Yoofi Grant, James Gardiner, Jackie Appiah, Timothy Bentum, Elikem Kumordzi, Fred Kyei Mensah, Abrantie the Gentleman, as well as Dentaa, George Quaye, Nabil Alhassan, Kwasi Ernest and many others.
Moderated by Professor Eleanor Earl and hosted by Ivy Prosper, there were such insightful discussions on collaborations, progress, infrastructure, agenda-setting, support and the need to bridge the gap between the industries in the diaspora and that of Africa, with the main focus of projecting black stories.
The panel included, the likes Chris Roland, Lamann Rucker, Baron Davis, Etu Evans, Shelby Stone, Asante Bradford, RJ Bucaria and Philonese West.
One of the major highlights of the seminar was the revelation by Hollywood star, Lamman Rucker that he would be coming to Ghana to shoot. Other panel members also talked about how they would be coming to Ghana and Africa in general to establish various projects.
