PHOTOS: Prof Afful Broni lands New Vice-Chancellor of UEW

Rev. Prof. Fr. Anthony Afful-Broni has been inducted into office as the 4th Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba.

His appointment is however coming at a time when there are controversies surrounding the appointment. Before his appointment, Prof. Afful was the Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

In attendance were; President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Nenyi Ghartey, the Omanhene of the Efutu Traditional Area, Rev. Palmer-Buckle, the Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, Education Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh, MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong, MP for Efutu Alexander Afenyo Markin amongst others.

Prof. Afful-Broni was the Pro-Vice-Chancellor position of the UEW before acting as the Vice Chancellor.

In his address, Prof. Afful-Broni said he was going to work to increase the University’s student population to over 70,000 by the next academic year.
