The much-anticipated flight of the world’s biggest plane has come off as the plane arrived in Accra on Tuesday.
The Emirates Airbus A380 touched down at the Kotoka International Airport’s Terminal 3, Accra to a water cannon salute.
It was all Ghanaian affair in charge of the world biggest passenger aircraft A380 belonging to the Emirates Airline from the Dubai Airport when it finally arrived at the Kotoka International Airport, Terminal 3.
In charge of the Emirate A380 are Ghana’s Solomon Quainoo, captain of the flight and Samifred Quartey the leading Engineer who is also a Ghanaian.
The flight which is in commemoration of the opening of the newly built state-of-the-art Terminal 3 at the airport.
The Airbus A380, which carries between 525 and 853 people depending on class configuration, it was to test the airport’s readiness to accommodate the world’s largest commercial passenger jet.
On hand to meet the plane were leading members of the Akufo-Addo government including the former and current minister for Aviation.
