The New Publisher is worried about the growing reported incidents of violence, killing, cell break, fire outbreaks and the general crime that seem to have enveloped the country in recent times.
It is difficult to judge whether it is the media that has turned its focus on such incidents or truly there has been a spike in such horrific nonsense.
Whatever the case may be, the current situation does not emit a pleasant smell and certainly is a cause of worry to any right thinking human.
The continuous nature of the incidents makes it as though there is an ominous incubus lurking in the skies gradually descending to consume us all.
Dust is yet to settle on the Kasoa incident in which two teenage boys are facing court trial for murdering a 10-year-old.
As if to add salt to injury, reports from Kumasi has it that a family of four people has been killed in fire outbreak that enveloped their residence at Manso Aponapon in the Ashanti Region around 11 PM last Saturday.
