Police assure late NPP treasurer’s family of constant briefings
The police have assured the family of the late Takoradi New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency treasurer of regular briefings of their investigations.
According to them, they have commenced investigations into the killing and will soon find the culprit.
Speaking to Citi News, the sister of the late Mark Ofori, Dillyx Ofori, says the police have been regularly visiting the family to brief them on every development.
“The police gave us the assurance that they are still working on it. And very soon they are going to find the culprit. So, that is what we are just waiting for. We are just hoping and praying that after the one-week celebration, we will hear something from them. Since the incident happened, we have been working with them. So it was just proper they come to check up on us at home and
find out if there are any developments,” she said.
On 30th October, 2019, some unknown persons shot the Takoradi NPP constituency treasurer in his house at Fijai.
The family said it suspects that the incident is a case of contract killing and has placed a GH¢50,000 bounty on the head of the unknown killer.
