Leaders and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been banned from protesting in the country’s capital, Accra during the Christmas festivity.
The restraining order communicated by the Ghana Police Service comes after the party Minority Leader on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, stormed the street of Accra to present a petition over the results of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary polls.
They were in particular challenging the results of the Techiman South Parliamentary polls.
The Police order prevents the NDC from protesting from December 20 to January 10, 2021.
The Police in a release sighted by thepublisheronline.com said it secured a prohibition order when the NDC through its Greater Accra Regional Chairman Ade Coker notified them of the political party’s intended protests from December 20, 2020 to January 10, 2021.
