Police chases 4 robbers …for shooting chinese national

THE POLICE are on the heels of four hardened robbers, who shot a Chinese man and took away his bag, containing undisclosed amount of money.

The hoodlums, carried out their illegal activity at Ahodwo in the Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi in the full glare of the public on Tuesday morning, around 9:30am.

According to reports, three Chinese men, who were in charge of a four wheel drive vehicle, stopped at a Mobile Money Merchant to do a transaction.

One of the Chinese nationals alighted from the car and he was in the process of doing a transaction with the mobile money merchant when one robber arrived.

The robber, who was said to be stoutly-built, then tried to forcibly snatch a hand bag, containing huge amount of money, from the Chinese man from behind.

The Chinese man then resisted and this infuriated the trigger-happy hoodlum, who instantly shot the Chinese man at close range, thereby creating a scene.

The four robbers then sped away with their two motorbikes from the crime scene, in order to escape arrest. Onlookers were scared to go near the robbers.

The Chinese man, who looked motionless, was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The case had been reported to the police, who are hunting for the robbers.
