THE NYINAHIN police in the Ashanti region are holding a man, for allegedly shooting a woman dead in the bush.
Suspect Kusi Johnson, said to be a hunter, allegedly shot dead one Auntie Yaa on a farm at Kyekyewere near Nhyinahin.
The unpleasant incident, a reliable police source informed the paper, happened around 5pm on September 24, this year.
The deceased, said to be in her early 40s, was heading to her farm when Kusi Johnson ‘accidentally’ shot at her.
The suspect, after realizing that he had killed a woman, reportedly, surrendered himself to the police.
Eye witnesses said the police then accompanied him to the crime scene and picked the body to the morgue.
Sources said autopsy is expected to be performed on the body to determine, what really led to the woman’s death.
Meanwhile, the police are still holding Kusi Johnson to assist them in investigating the depressing matter.
