Police probes suicide case

THE POLICE have commenced investigations to unearth the cause of the death of a man.

Akwasi Adusei, 37, was found hanging on a rope, which was tied to a cross bar in his room.

The deceased did not leave behind any suicide note to explain why he committed suicide.

The police now faces a daunting task of verifying whether Adusei committed suicide or not.

The sad incident happened at Adwumakaase in the Ashanti Region at 5:30pm on April 1, 2023.

A sister of the deceased, Gifty Adusei, saw his dead brother hanging on the rope in his room.

Alarmed by the gory spectacle, she then rushed to the police station and lodged complaint.

The police proceeded to the scene and indeed found Adusei’s body hanging on a yellow rope.

The security agents then thoroughly inspected the body but found no marks of violence.

The body has been deposited at the Methodist Faith Healing Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating the case to determine whether it is suicide or not.
