“Pooley” Song Was Disrespect to Women – Abeiku Santana To Guru

Radio Personality Abeiku Santana has said to Rapper Guru that, he insulted through his song “Pooley”.

The song was a hit all over in the year 2017, was a household name. From children to adults.

“I put it to you that you insulted Ghanaian women with that song. You basically called them prostitutes.” – Abeiku Said.

However, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru disputed the allegations, claiming he worshipped Ghanaian ladies in the song.

According to him, the term “pooley” is a jargon used to describe gold dust.

Guru explained that, though disregarded, gold dust has its own value, he therefore compared women who are tagged as prostitutes to gold dust.

“I did not insult them, i actually praised them. Pooley is a much dignified term for ashawo”, Guru stated.

Guru, since his rise to fame through his song with Obrafour, “Kasiebo”, the rapper has released songs like, “Lapaz Toyota”, “Samba”, “Alkayida”, “Only You”, “Nkoso” and many more.
