Popular NPP Supporter Burns Party Items
A deep-rooted supporter and card-bearing member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Asante Mampong has set ablaze all-party paraphernalia in his possession, and videoed the act to register his newly-developed disaffection for the party.
Identified as ‘JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma’, the NPP man openly set on fire party items such a wooden carved elephant, which is the official symbol of the ruling party, ablaze, NPP branded shirts and other party paraphernalia
The famous NPP supporter at Asante Mampong, who is noted for his extraordinary support for the party, stated categorically that the burning of the party items was to publicly send signals that he had officially parted ways with the NPP.
According to JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma, the party and its leaders have abandoned him after he had campaigned hard to help win the 2016 presidential polls.
He lamented that hunger was killing him slowly barely one-year after his beloved NPP ascended the presidential throne so he has decided to quit the party and make his exit a public one.

Interestingly, JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma recorded the burning of the party paraphernalia, including the elephant, with his mobile phone.
The video had since gone viral on several social media platforms, especially Facebook and WhatsApp, THE PUBLISHER is aware.
In the short video, JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma was seen standing beside a giant wooden elephant, decorated with the NPPs red, white and blue colours.
The NPP man was then heard complaining bitterly about how the party had neglected him after his hard work had ensured victory for the party in 2016.
JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma hurled insults at the party leadership for being insensitive to the plight of the party’s grass root members in Asante Mampong.
He then poured petrol on the symbolic elephant and other NPP paraphernalia after which he set the items on fire, attracting shouts of joy from a crowd at the scene.
JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma then removed his attire, which was decorated with NPP colours, and threw it into the inferno, which also attracted some applause and cheers
He concluded by saying that he was leaving the NPP with other aggrieved youth members of the party at Asante Mampong, who are all dying of hunger, according to him.
