The Producer Price Inflation for the month of October has increased to 8.2 per cent from the 7.5 per cent recorded in September, 2017.
This represents a 0.7 percentage point increase.
According to the Ghana Statistical Service, the mining and quarrying sub-sector recorded the highest year-on-year producer price inflation rate of 12.5 per cent followed by the manufacturing sector with 9.1 per cent.
The utilities sub-sector recorded the lowest year-on-year producer inflation rate of 0.5 per cent.
With respect to the monthly changes, manufacturing recorded the highest rate of 0.8 per cent followed by the utilities sub-sector with -0.03 per cent.
The mining and quarrying sub-sector recorded the lowest rate of -2.8 per cent.
