‘PPP Ready for A Strategic Partnership in 2020’
Papa Kwesi Nduom’s Progressive People’s Party says it is ready to form a strategic partnership with another party in order to secure victory in the 2020 general elections.
Delivering a solidarity message at the ongoing National Democratic Congress National Delegates’ Congress on Saturday the National Secretary of the party, Murtala Mohammed Ahmed, said the development of the country requires a collective effort.
The Congress to elect National Executives is taking place at the Fantasy Dome of the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
According to PPP, the partnership will be influenced in no small measure by the development policies of a potential partner.
“The PPP is ready for a strategic partnership in the 2020 elections; a strategic partnership in policy, in policy direction and parliamentary collaborations. This general appeal is to all political parties that can reach an amicable understanding with us before 2020 elections,” he said.
He added: “I think Ghanaians are tired of internal bickering and wrangling. I’m not against dissent that is very necessary especially as the social democratic party like yours. However, your unity is paramount; it is very important that you come out of this congress united.”
Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom is the Founder of PPP and he led the party into the 2016 elections as its Presidential candidate.
The party garnered less than 1% of total votes cast in the Presidential poll.
