President Bans Ministers from Traveling
The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has in the interim banned all ministers and their deputies from embarking on foreign travels.
It is unclear what prompted the decision as no reason was given but the move is expected to minimize disruptions to government’s domestic work a statement signed by Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare had hinted.
Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and all Heads of Government Agencies have also been affected by the ban.
The temporary suspension is to take immediate effect, the statement copied the secretaries of the President, Vice President and the Executive Director at Jubilee House stated.
It however, exempted the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration from the temporary ban.
