Prince Charles Visits Cocoa Farms
THE PRINCE of Wales, Prince Charles, has visited a Cocoa farm in the Ashanti region as part of his historic visit to the country.
The British Royal, who just ended a four-day tour of the country, is a known advocate for good cocoa production practices for many years, and visited a farm at Kona in the Ashanti region on Sunday to signal his support for cocoa production.
He walked for several minutes around the farm, observed how the farmers went about their chores, and interacted freely with the elated-looking farmers.
From his looks, one can say the prince was highly impressed with the farmers at Kona.
The British royal later visited the newly-constructed Kejetia Bus Terminal, which would officially be opened to the public very soon.
He was accompanied by Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi and Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, among others.
