Prof Fobi at age 80: My sweet new wife is 31 years

A former Minister of Education, Professor Dominic Fobi, who turns 81 this year has set the records straight that the pretty faced woman he got married to over the weekend is not 27 years old rather a 31 nurse.

Professor Fobi has also denied that the 31 year old is his ninth wife:

The New Publisher transcribes below the interview Professor Fobi granted Francis Abban host of Morning Starr on Starr 103.5 on Tuesday morning:

Professor Fobi: I took a personal decision and that is my decision, there is no regret for it.

Francis Abban: I am sure you have seen the videos that are awash on social media of your beautiful  dancing with your wife  at that ceremony. Have you seen the outpour of love and reaction to the video now gone viral?

Professor Fobi:  Yes. But the whole report that came out is born out of ignorance. There are lies in the statements. I don’t want to comment on them.

Francis Abban: You said they were comments made out of ignorance; what comments?

Professor Fobi: I said the publication is what I am talking about. If the publication is wrong, then you may make a wrong comment too.

Francis Abban: Is it about the publication of the ninth wife?

Professor Fobi: Look, I don’t have nine wives. I don’t have nine wives so what is the sense in it.

Francis Abban: Please clarify for us.

Professor Fobi: I have one wife. I have one wife, I just married her. I didn’t have a wife. I just married. Who in Ghana has nine wives? I am not a chief.

Francis Abban: Have you been married before?

Professor Fobi: That is not  important to me. I said  I have one wife now. I did not have a wife before. That is all. I don’t have nine wives. If anybody is commenting on nine wives, is he not misled? Is the person not misled? That is why I said those who are commenting are misled and the whole publication is wrong, so those who have read it are commenting on what they have read born out of ignorance.

Francis Abban: This morning we are  celebrating you for the new chapter in your life. Would you  share with us how you got hitched?

Professor Fobi: Ohhhh I can’t share that. That is my private matter.

Francis Abban: What would be your advice to men who are looking for love to get married?

Professor Fobi: My reason for marrying now is a private reason. My own special reasons. That me, so it cannot apply to all people.

Francis Abban: What would be your advice to those who are getting married?

Professor Fobi: I can’t comment on them.

Francis Abban: We congratulate you are we are grateful to you for speaking with us

Professor Fobi: Thank you too for showing interest in my personal matter.

Francis Abban: I am happy you have had the opportunity to clarify.

Professor Fobi: That is it. Some are saying she is 23, 23, 28 and so on, All these are wrong.

Francis Abban: It’s not true? So what’s the truth?

Professor Fobi: She is 31 now.

Francis Abban: I know your background as an educationist and a former  Minister. What’s her background?

Professor Fobi: She is medical personnel.

Francis Abban: That’s nice. Am I calling during your honeymoon?

Professor Fobi: I am not talking about honeymoon and things. I have my personal reasons for doing  what I have done and that is important to me. I am a very strong person so I know what I do anytime. I am always convinced about what I do that it is the best for me.

Francis Abban: Prof what is the matter of your strength being raised here?

Professor Fobi: I said I am a strong-willed person so I am convinced  about what I decide to do so I know what I am doing. That’s what I mean.

Francis Abban: And for all your critics what do you tell them?

Professor Fobi: I do not want to tell them anything. I know why I am doing this. I did not marry for anybody, I married for myself.
