MR. ISAAC Owusu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rattray Park, the leading recreational center in Kumasi, has grabbed the ‘Supporter of Tourism Activities for 2019’ award.
The enviable award was presented to him by the Ashanti Regional Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), during their annual awards, held over the weekend in Kumasi.
A citation accompanying the award highlighted Isaac Owusu’s significant contributions to the promotion of tourism in the Ashanti Region and Ghana in general.
It was also revealed that Isaac Owusu, who is noted for always extending a helping hand to the needy in society, continues to support tourism activities in cash and in kind.
Isaac Owusu, a staunch Christian, in his acceptance speech, attributed his success in life and the progress of Rattray Park to God, who has been his helper all the time.
He dedicated the award to His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), staff of Rattray Park and many others.
Isaac Owusu, who looked overly excited, said he was happy that his efforts to promote tourism in the country has been seen and rewarded, promising to do more for tourism.
Edmund Owusu, the General Manager of Rattray Park, who is the son of Isaac Owusu, also said the top award would spur his father on to play important roles to promote tourism.
