REDUCE ‘OBOLO’ MINISTERS – NDC Taunts Nana
THE OPPOSITION National Democratic Congress (NDC) has complained that the 110 ministers and deputies in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is too huge.
According them, the size of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration is not benefitting the country in anyway.
Kwaku Boahen, NDC Deputy National Communication Director, said it is important that the number of ministers is reduced to protect the national purse.
According to him, the country is losing colossal amount of funds to cater for the ministers, who in actual fact, are not delivering as expected of them.
“This huge number of ministers in the NPP government is only helping to drain the scanty national coffers and also deepening poverty in the state.
“It is an undeniable fact that the 110 ministers and their deputies are offering very little so the country is not benefitting anything from them”.
Speaking on UTV, Kwaku Boahen, said the NPP, whilst in opposition, lambasted the NDC for parading a big government, and wondered why the NPP administration had decided to increase the number of ministers and their deputies to a staggering 110.
